The Ocean Clean Up is my favorite project. I think it has a huge impact on our environment and living conditions. Why do I blog about this again? Because the target of $2m has not been achieved yet. The funding is 31 more days and need $647.000 to succeed. So let’s do this!

In June 2013 I wrote about a young student from Delft (NL) and his idea to clean the big plastic garbage patches in the Ocean. Now this whole project starts to shape and becomes real. A crowd-funded clean up mission starts and we all can help very easy!

In December 2013 Shell invited people and the press to show that their company is not as bad as we think. They are of course an environmentally friendly company and never spill oil. Every year 100.000 tons of oil are leaking into the oceans and destroying the habitats of humans and animal-life. Furthermore Shell plans to drill for oil and gas in the Arctic which is a huge misery in my opinion. So they need to get stopped. Two activists of project »Slam Shell« showed how.
In June Google worked on the Loons Project in New Zealand to connect more people to the internet. The fact that still 61% worldwide don’t have access to the internet made Google move to a new country. Uganda!
